Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an American actor and singer, began with humorous raps that addressed sexual identities, racial identity and gender. Prior to her move into Hollywood, she released a series of rap tracks. She was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean parents who immigrated to Forest Hills Queens her first taste of musician life came through the trumpet. Later, she began traditional and hip-hop training. At college, she concentrated on her studies, majoring in women's journalism and the arts. For a brief period of time, she was in Beijing, she also studied Mandarin. Then, after graduation, when she decided to turn her attention towards music. Her track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity across the Internet during 2012. The track was later included in her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. Other viral hits included the Queef track, and the witty NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The latter song was linked directly with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. A musician and an author were in her portfolio, she decided to decided to focus on becoming the role of a third-party actor. In addition to early shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2. Storks as well as Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role during the year 2018, appearing in a handful of high profile films, including Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, In Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
