Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress and singer. Parents include Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier, both television news directors. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell was accepted by her mother to become an agent when she was just thirteen years old. Then, she was selected for newspapers ads as well as commercials on TV. In addition, she is beginning classes in acting for herself. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she won the role of Dorothy. Bell studied musical theatre at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. The year 2001 was the time Bell quit her university in order to play the role as Becky in Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell's first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene has been cut out and only the credits depict her. In 2002, Bell made an appearance in The Crucible, a Broadway version of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
